Hello my friends,
Just a little note to let you know I'm having a CD launch and going away party before I go to the US to promote said CD, Shifty Fingers Played Here.
Follow the above link for all the details.
Oh and go to this link to hear previews of the album.

Well I've got myself in the papers folks.
I recently played an Environmental song I wrote outside Greg Hunt's office.
There is a rumour going around that, in spite of the Adani coal mine being approved, he is the minister for the environment.
Of course he feels obligated to tow the Liberal Party Line and he's a sensitive person.
I nearly felt guilty about giving him a hard time.... no i can't back that up.
Anyway here's a link to the story.

My US trip.

Help Me Release My New Album in The USA

Hi folks,
I haven't been spending too much time here but I have something brand new to tell you.
I recently set up a gofindme to try and raise funds to release my next album in the USA.
I really believe it's the right market but i don't have the necessary funds to support myself there and do the things i need to do to get it noticed by the right people.
When you donate you'll receive things commensurate with your donation.
For example if you donate $20 you get a signed copy of the CD so it's like a presale situation.
There's other cool stuff as well.

Here's the link.

Here's some teasers i've put on youtube.

I don't ask for anything usually but these songs are my baby and I'd like to give them a chance at life.

Upcoming Gig.

Just a little note to tell you I'm playing at the wine larder  in Martin street Brighton this coming thursday 3rd of july between 6 and 8pm.
It's a really cool  intimate place and I'm really looking forward to it.
Also a quick thank you to all the people who showed up (in such terrible weather) to the Chandelier room last night.
I know they weren't there to see me but I think i gained some new fans and i sold a bunch of CD's too.
Incidently, if you'd like a hard copy of Touch or Friday sessions, you can send me an email and I'll give you my bank details and mail them out to you.

You can hear previews on my music page.

Mama Blue & Son

I'm happy to let you all know that Mama Blue & Son's CD is now available.

It's called Outa Cash,Outa Luck & Outa Booze.

If you'd still like a copy please let me know how you'd prefer to pay for it and I'll mail one to you.

The price is $20 plus postage which is about $2.50.

You can see a snippet of some of the songs by going to

Mum and I will be appearing at the Echuca Blues Festival.
Look forward to seeing you at one of the jams.

Some Changes Made.

 Hey everybody.
I've been a busy boy lately. Some of you may be aware that my days as a music retailer are going to be over in 4 days. After 10 years of it i'm ready for a change I tell ya!!
If you see someone in Bourke Street Mall that looks like me, singing and playing...guess what...YEP!!! And I'm really looking forward to it to
I've been recording my Mum's first CD. She's 76 years young and singing like a baritone canary.
This is going to be the cover!! Waddaya think?
Jessica Paige( my daughter and second eldest child) and Joshua Romig came in yesterday and did backing vocals and we had a great time together.
I'll be posting snippets of it in the days to come.
In early March I'll be going in to record lead vocals on my next CD called Blind Fingers. I'll let you know how that goes too.
thanks for reading

Semi Finals Coming Up!

It seems kind of unreal that I'm going to be in the semi- finals of Australia's Got Talent.
Only a few more days to go and i get to stand before an audience and give, I hope, a performance that will secure me a place in the finals.

I really want to be there and I didn't realise just how much until I stood in front of 2000 people at the Regent Theatre and got the hunger again.

It seems now like the rest of my life is on hold until then.

I'd gotten used to the idea that I'd be a retailer until I retired or died... whichever came first but this experience has changed my outlook completely and the reactions I've gotten from so many people has been staggering.

Not one negative comment... everyone has been so supportive and loving and increased my belief in myself.

Thank you all so much.
